About the event
Spend a few hours learning simple embroidery stitches and hand sewing techniques.
Bring a friend or make new ones at The Green Goddess, Blackheath Standard.
Work on an embroidered patch, try applique or reverse applique.
Try out chain stitch, blanket, back stitch and running stitch.
All these techniques can be used to transform, upcycle or embellish garments, bags, bucket hats.
Or create an a small decorative panel to display with embroidery and applique.
All materials provided.
Including assorted materials, embroidery threads, beads, fabric flowers,buttons and adornments.
No experience needed. Just come and have a play with fabric and see what you can create.
Janey will be there to guide you through if you need encouragement.
You are welcome to bring something to work on or decorate.
